Welcome
to the home page of the Hidden Loft Observatory. I hope you find the site
useful, entertaining and informative. There are details on my equipment and
observatory, a collection of my images and some technical notes describing
my studies and investigations of the various components of astro-imaging. I started imaging in February 2001 and have been enjoying the view ever since. The combination of astronomy, photography and personal computers was just too much a match for my interests to be avoided. I enjoy the challenge of computer processing along with image acquisition. As a result of this interest, I have designed and built an observatory as part of a garage so that the telescope is always ready to go. Tucson gives many good viewing nights, which are sorely needed as I work to develop my skills at this simultaneously demanding and rewarding hobby. A little about me and others in this crazy hobby can be seen here. None of this would have been possible without the love and support of my Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Astro-Wife and best friend, Diane. We truly love our life together and love living in Arizona.
